What is a Good ACT Score?

You could be pondering whether your ACT results are sufficient to gain admission to prestigious universities abroad after reviewing your ACT scores. A good ACT score, then, is the one that falls within the range of scores that your college typically hunts out or accepts. The best approach to determine whether your ACT result is competitive or good enough can be done by looking at the typical ACT results of your preferred universities mentioned on their official websites.

Instead of putting the focus on what a good ACT score is, you should focus on your test preparation, decide on your target score, and strive to get it. If you receive an ACT result of 21.8 on average, you outperform 50% of test takers, which ultimately guarantees you a strong chance of admission to the colleges or universities of your choice.

Another important point to consider is that only a good ACT score does not guarantee admission to a good college. Other factors like high school performance, application, Statement of Purpose (SOP), etc. also play a crucial role in college admissions abroad.
