When Should I Book a GMAT Slot?

While there is no perfect time to book a slot for GMAT 2022, a good rule of thumb is to schedule it according to the timeline you need to properly prepare for the test. It should be noted that there are limited slots available each day, which is why booking a slot as early as possible is the logical and safest option for aspirants.

Study abroad experts suggest that interested candidates should book their GMAT test slots 1 to 2 months in advance during off-seasons. However, if students are planning to attempt the test during peak seasons, i.e. time around November each year, it is advisable to book their respective slots 2 to 3 months ahead of time.

Nevertheless, one of the more important factors to considering when deciding the perfect date to attempt a GMAT test is factor in the time it will take you to properly prepare for the test. How Many Times Can I Book a GMAT Slot?

According to official regulations, those interested in attempting GMAT, can do so 5 times throughout the year. While you are not required to register each of the five times in a year, you will be required to book your GMAT Slot. It should be noted that there needs to be a gap between two test attempts, i.e. a 16-day gap between two tests.

GMAT Online Test Slot Booking

For those wondering if it is required to book a slot for the GMAT Online test, as per official regulations, all applicants are required to book a slot. However, unlike the offline test, GMAT Online test applicants can book their respective slots 24 hours prior to the time of the test.

Similar to the offline test, applicants should log in to their account for GMAT and book a slot for the GMAT Online test as convenient.

GMAT Slot Cancellation/Rescheduling Fee

Any candidate who has booked a slot to appear for the GMAT test on any given day can cancel or reschedule their appointment. However, there is a cancellation/rescheduling fee for GMAT tests, which have been defined below.
