PTE Academic Registration Process 2023

If you are thinking of taking PTE, the first thing you need to do is register for PTE. The PTE registration process can be completed online by following a few steps as per the guidelines defined by Pearson VUE.

PTE is conducted throughout the year at various PTE centres in India and other parts of the world. There is no limit to the number of times you can take the PTE. Hence, you can register for PTE as many times as you wish to take the test. However, there must be a gap of at least 5 days between two PTE tests that is it takes 5 days for results to be out.

Step-By-Step Registration Process for PTE Academic

In order to book your PTE Academic test, you will need to follow the step given below:

• Visit the official website of PTE Academic.

• Create a new Pearson account if you have not already registered enter your user name and password to Login into the Pearson Account if you already have an account.

• Once you have successfully logged in, click on ‘My PTE’.

• Provide answers to all the required questions then click ‘Next’.

• Select your desired location and click ‘Next’. Search for available dates and times.

• Once you have confirmed your location, date & time you will be asked to review your booking information and proceed to checkout.

• Confirm all the details and make full payment to secure your booking. It is to be noted that the payment should be made in the currency specified for India.

• Once you have completed your booking you will receive an email confirmation. The email will contain details on the test center location, directions on how to get there, and a few points to remember on the test day.

• In both cases, ensure you have read the ID policy on the following page www.pearsonpte.com/acceptable-id/ and that your ID is valid at the time of registration and on the day of the test.

Note: If you do not produce the required ID on test day you will not be allowed into the test room and will lose your test fee.

Other Methods to Apply for PTE Academic

Apart from the online mode, one may also book a PTE test by phone through Pearson VUE’s call centres. One shall contact the customer service in India. After successful booking, one should get a confirmation email within two working days. The booking process is quite simple and can be done easily.

Retaking PTE Academic 2023

Pearson VUE gives full liberty to candidates to retake the test in case you are disappointed with the current score. In fact, you may take the PTE test as many times as you want. The retake policy is given below:

• You can book your next test as soon as the results from your last test are available.

• You can book a test date 5 days after your previous attempt.

• You can only book one test at a time.

• A new appointment can be booked up to 6 months in advance.

• You can take the test as many times as you wish.

How to Reschedule or Cancel PTE Academic?

There are two ways to reschedule or cancel your slot for  PTE Academic:

In online mode:

• Sign in to your account with your username and password.

• Once you have successfully logged in click on ‘Reschedule’ or ‘Cancel’ on the appointment information on your homepage.

• You will receive an email confirming the change to your test booking.

• We do not resend booking, rescheduling and cancellation email notifications anymore as it is visible under the test taker’s account. We can only resend payment confirmation emails by visiting your account under Activity and clicking on View Receipts. We can also resend these confirmation emails via Admin Console under Activity on View Receipts.

In offline mode:

Through phone/chat: 00080 0440 2020. (Operating hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm local time; closed on local holidays).

Note: There are timelines and fees applicable to these changes. If you decide not to take the PTE Academic test after making your booking online, you have up to 14 full calendar days before your test date to claim a full refund. The cancellation and reschedule policy does not include your test date.

PTE Academic Application Fee and Methods of Payment

The PTE Academic application fee for Indian candidates is INR 14,700. Below given are the modes of payment for the test:
