SAT test is administered by the College Board and it is conducted in across 30 cities throughout the country. The test is conducted once in every month. Although the number of SAT centres in India is decent, sometimes candidates find it difficult to book a test centre of their own choice because of the ever-increasing number of applicants. 

It is thus advisable that the candidate should Apply for SAT Test as early as possible for a hassle-free application process. They can select the test centre and the time slot of their choice before the test centre gets completely booked. 

COVID 19 Response 

The SAT conducting body has set the health and safety of test-takers and people at the test centre on priority. They will continue to monitor the situation and if there is any modification at the test centres or test dates, the same will be communicated to the test takers. 

In case any test centre is fully or partially closed, the test takers may be asked not to report at the test centre. Other decisions that can be taken include changes in the test centre/ test date or cancellation of registration of students with refund.

SAT test-takers can carry only a few things in the exam hall. Following is the list of items that are allowed to be carried by the candidate:

• SAT Hall Ticket

• Government ID Card with photograph 

• Pencil, pen and  eraser 

• Calculator (approved by the authorities)

• Drinking water bottles 

The test taker must carry all these items in a transparent pouch so that all the items are visible to the invigilator at the test centre.

Every SAT test centre has the same rules and guidelines and each test taker must be familiar with it before taking the test. Certain important guidelines to be followed at the test centre is mentioned below:

• The candidate must reach the test centre at least 30 minutes before the mentioned in the hall ticket to avoid any hassle at the test centre. No candidate will be allowed to enter the test centres after the test has started. 

• Candidates must ensure to carry the mandatory items at the test centre like hall ticket, ID proof etc. 

• There will be a 10 minute and a five-minute break in between the tests. No other breaks in the middle of the test will be allowed. Test books, answer sheets and other belongings must be kept at the desk during the test.

• Mask/ Face Cover is mandatory for the test-takers in the current scenario. Social distancing must be maintained and all other guidelines defined at the test centre must be followed.
