SAT Exam Dates 2021

The College Board conducts the SAT exam in the month of March, May, August, September, October and December for international students. Those who wish to appear in the test must complete the SAT registration and appear for the test on the scheduled date. Candidates can reschedule or cancel their SAT tests before the deadline for the date of rescheduling as per the terms and conditions.

SAT, a widely accepted test, is a standardised test accepted by leading international universities  Top universities such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Michigan, University of Idaho, University of New Mexico, University of Washington encourages students to take SAT even if they are SAT test-optional.

Universities that require SAT scores for 2022 admissions are Florida State University, University of Central Florida, University of Georgia, Florida International University, University of South Florida etc.

COVID-19 Update

Even though the SAT test dates are defined for the upcoming months, the authorised test centres have the right to take a decision on the administration of the test. They may close a test centre right up until test day as per the situation arising due to the pandemic.

However, students will be informed of the decisions ahead of the test date to reduce unwanted stress. Students are advised to keep regular updates regarding such information on the registered email address. The test dates may be rescheduled at the last minute even if the hall tickets are released, in adverse situations.

In such a case, the registered students will be informed and will be expected to not report to the test centre as per the latest communication they have received from College Board.

1. What are the SAT test dates for 2021-2022?

The SAT test dates for 2021-22 are August 28, 2021; October 2, 2021; December 4, 2021; March 12, 2022; May 7, 2022. The anticipated SAT dates for 2022 are August 27, 2022; October 1, 2022, and December 3, 2022.

2. Should I take the SAT in the 11th standard?

You can take the SAT in either the 11th or 12th standard depending on how well prepared you are for the test. The same shall also be planned based on the application deadlines of the colleges you are applying to.
