Ben Gurion University has announced rolling admissions for M.Sc. in Life Sciences. Being a research university, it also offers students a chance to get PhD in Life Sciences in the same course program. Read below to find out more about the course and plan details.

 

Ben-Gurion University, Israel Invites Applications for MSc in Life Sciences

Ben Gurion has invited international students to apply forM.Sc in Life Sciences scheduledto begin in Spring 2022.

On the 13th of December, Ben Gurion University of the Negev (BGU), Israel announced that it is now ready to accept applications for Masters in Life Sciences on a rolling basis. The applications are being invited for the course program set to begin in the Spring semester of the academic year 2022, which shall start on 27 February 2022, and end on 24 June 2022.

The announcement is in a series of applications opening for the students, domestic or international, interested in gaining various degrees from Ben Gurion.

Course Material, Duration and Other Program Details of M.Sc. Life Sciences at Ben Gurion

The Department of Life Sciences at Ben Gurion University is the supervisory force of the course and have designed the course on following outlines;

Name of Degree: M.Sc.

Course Type: Masters

Course Level: Post Graduate

MS Specialization: Life Sciences

Duration: 2 years

Course Fees: $5000 annually

Course Program Aims:

The course material is designed to focus on delivering knowledge to enrolled students so that the following aims can be fulfilled;

  • Enable understanding of Protein Science, Microbiology, Development or Evolution, Physiology, Neurobiology, Genomics, Structural Biology, Ecology and other fields of Life Sciences.

  • Unravel mysteries of life at various levels, such as genes, proteins, cells, systems and organisms.

  • Study and understand research in Modern Biology.

  • Discover solutions for problems related to the molecular basis of disease, cellular architecture, ageing, life in extremes and wildlife conservation.

  • Conducting experiments on bacteria, archaea, yeast, plants, insects, fish, forms of marine life, rodents, mammals and other types of life.

M.Sc.-Ph.D in Life Sciences at Ben Gurion University

Department of Life Sciences at Ben Gurion is offering students an alternative track to gain M.Sc.-Ph.D in Life Sciences together on following terms and outlines;

  • The track is available for outstanding students in the M.Sc. Life Sciences course program.

  • The students can opt for the Thesis or Research-based track in the 2nd year of the course program.

  • The duration of the Thesis track shall be of 2 years.

  • The final degree shall be a combined Masters and Doctorate degree in Life Sciences, M.Sc-Ph.D in Life Sciences.

Eligibility for M.Sc. Life Sciences at Ben Gurion University

The students interested in applying for the course are required to satisfy the following eligibility requirements;

In order to be considered as a candidate for selection purposes, the following documents shallbe submitted;

  • Academic Transcripts

  • 2 LORs from Faculty members, one from a potential advisor.

  • SOP

  • Language Transcripts proving proficiency in English.
