British Council Invites Indian Students, Young Professionals to Apply for 10 New Scholarships

British Council has invited Indian students and young professionals to apply for its 10 new scholarships worth over £149,000 under the new Creative Economy Scholarship programme. The four participating universities in the UK include Goldsmiths University of London, University of Glasgow, Birmingham City University and King’s College London.

The British Council has invited Indian students and young professionals to apply to its scholarships under the new Creative Economy Scholarship programme. Only those who wish to pursue postgraduate education in the field of Culture Policy and Arts Management at one of its four partner universities in the UK can apply for the 10 scholarships which are worth 149,000 pound.

The four participating universities in the UK include Goldsmiths University of London, University of Glasgow, Birmingham City University and Kings College London, the council said.

The applicants must be resident citizens of the country of India with work experience or proven interest in the relevant field or subject area.

They should be able to apply for a full-time postgraduate course in the UK for the 2021-22 academic year which shall begin from September-October 2021. The applicants should hold an undergraduate degree in any field to be considered eligible for studying at one of the participating universities.

Director Arts India, British Council, Jonathan Kennedy announced the Creative Economy Scholarship programme for Indian students who are aspiring cultural entrepreneurs, arts professionals and future policy leaders and can demonstrate their passion for a course of study in the arts sector. The applicants must also be willing to participate as British Council cultural ambassadors for the 2022 UK-India programme.
