With the world adapting to digital trends, universities have also adopted unique methods to educate students to seek success through content creation. In the US, a university in the state of North Carolina is offering a course named 'TikTok classes'designed specifically for students interested in content creation.
Understanding the influence of the popular social media platform on the students, Duke University in Durham exploited the opportunity to offer a full-credit Building Global Audiences course to undergraduate students.
Offering a unique experience through the 'TikTok classes'programme, Duke University is offering thefull-credit course to help students enhance their social media presence. Currently, the classes have helped students earn more than 1.45 lakh followers and achieved over 80 million views collectively as a result of what they learned through the course.

According to Times Now News, Natalia Hauser, a student attending the classes, earned 2,27,000 followers from 12,000 over a semester and usually earns between USD 1,000 to 7,000 a month through different corporate partnerships with organisations such as Canon, Barnes & Noble, Pepsi and Macys. Times Now reported that the Hauser also earns USD 5,000 at times for a single post, which comes around to be INR 4 Lakh.
In a statement to Bloomberg, Hauser commented that she not only learned how to negotiate with different brands but also understand how much she could charge her clients for different projects.
The course had been created by Professor Aaron Dinin, a Social Marketing teacher at Duke Universitys Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute, after learning that many students were eager to learn about content creation.

The classes encourage students to create videos over different TikTok trends and share their videos with their classmates. Moreover, the classes also encourage students to reach out to different brands for the purpose of collaborations while also helping them compare analytics, their goals for their respective accounts as well as the reasons why some of their posts perform well while others do not.
Times Now News reported that the course was successful in training a student, Junior Ben Chipman, to be employed in an internship role at LinkedIn as a result of the experience he gained by building a personal brand through the classes.
