GISMA has also been permitted to launch Hochschule, aimed at teaching practice-oriented skills in the areas of business, digital transformation, agribusiness and technology. Becoming a University of Applied Sciences would be a step towards educating and preparing students from across the world at a higher academic level for the global and regional business community.

The federal state of Brandenburg has given official ‘University of Applied Sciences’ status to GISMA Business School, Germany, letting it offer bachelors and masters degrees at its campuses in the region.

The school has also been permitted to launch Hochschule, its tertiary education which is aimed at teaching practice-oriented skills in the areas of business, digital transformation, agribusiness and technology.

Stefan Stein, the newly-appointed president of GISMA Business School said that this is a great achievement for the school.

He added that for more than 20 years, GISMA’s international interconnectedness and industry roots have made it a unique place for further education. Becoming a University of Applied Sciences would be a step towards educating and preparing students from across the world at a higher academic level for the global and regional business community.

He explained that a digital revolution is ready to evolve faster, which will not only affect traditional industries but also the universities. This will further contribute to a new revolution in education, offering a multidisciplinary approach to reflect qualification changes and demand of competencies of the outside world.
