The portal will further provide details such as equivalence of the institution and whether it is recognised in the country, links to the Indian Mission abroad along with details of a counsellor who can be contacted by a prospective student.

In addition, GISP will also let students know about the available private or government scholarships, banks that offer education loans, health insurance, living conditions, and so on.

It will further inform students about the political and economic situation of the study destination and the toThetal number of students pursuing higher education in the country.

The document mentions that the website will be clutter-free and well-structured, which will be appealing to a viewer. It will be hosted on the NIC platform on the official website of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs.

In 2015, the Ministry had created a “Students Registration Module” to register the number of Indian students travelling abroad for studies. Students can register on the same site voluntarily and add details such as courses, location, duration of the course and name of the institution.
