Study Canberra mentioned that the educational institutions in the city are ready to get back to normal and host 19,000 students from over 100 countries once again.

Vice-Chancellor at the Australian National University (ANU) Brian Schmidt said that it was great to have clarity about arrangements made by ACT and to know that students would be able to come straight to campus after the borders open.

He further said that they will continue to work with the Commonwealth on arrangements to return to normalcy and open Australian borders to students safely as soon as possible.

Vice-Chancellor at the University of Canberra, Paddy Nixon, said that international students would add to the benefits in the Canberra community, highlighting that graduates can become nurses in Canberra hospitals.
