Jacobs University International College to Welcome Indians to Study in Germany

The one-year tailored preparatory programme will help international students succeed in their undergraduate degree studies by improving their English language skills, preparing them for the academic world and offering them an on-campus living experience. 

Jacobs University International College to Welcome Indians to Study in Germany

Jacobs University and Oxford International Education Group have partnered up to introduce an opportunity for Indian students to study at the newly established Jacobs University International College (JUIC). It also announced that the college is ready to welcome its first batch of international students in September 2021.

Oxford International Education Group is one of the first pathway providers to set up an international college at a German university. Its one-year tailored preparatory programme will make international students ready to succeed in their degree studies by improving their English language skills, preparing them for the academic world and offering them an on-campus living experience.

Upon completion of the foundation course, students will be able to progress into an undergraduate course of choice at one of Germanys leading universities, Jacobs University.

The university is continuously working towards attracting as many Indian students as possible. Also, once an Indian student completes the foundation course and starts undergraduate studies at Jacobs University, he/she will be eligible for a tuition deferral which covers 100% of the tuition fees.

Oxford International Education Group also works with Indian agents in order to help students from India with their visa applications.

CEO of Oxford International Education Group Lil Bremermann-Richard said that many Indian students have been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. But in 2021, Indian students have been offered this opportunity to study at one of the distinguished universities in Germany.

She further mentioned that they are excited to be the first pathway provider to set up an international college with a German university, where they would provide students with deep expertise and comprehensive and tailored tuition. They would be working with Jacobs University to unlock the potential of a German higher education offered to Indian students.

President of Jacobs University Prof. Dr Antonio Loprieno said that JUIC is an important milestone in their commitment to opening more opportunities for international students to get an excellent education.

Oxford International Education Group has also partnered with four UK universities, namely, De Montfort University, Bangor University, University of Greenwich and the University of Dundee. 90% of their students complete their pathway programmes and transition to an undergraduate course of their choice.
