Technion Israel Institute of Technology Invites Applications for MSc, PhD Degrees

The Technion Israel Institute of Technology, Israel’s leading institute for science, technology, engineering and applied research has invited international students to apply for its MSc and PhD degrees in the field of physics.

The MSc degree includes a series of required courses and original research leading to a written thesis. The first two semesters of the degree will be based on coursework, during which students find a research advisor to curate a thesis plan. In the second year, students take up research under the supervision of a faculty advisor.

Technion’s PhD degree focuses on helping students evolve into experts in their chosen fields and develop advanced knowledge and skills to become individual researchers. It would require students to perform original research in the research group under a professor’s guidance.

Technion Israel Institute of Technology Eligibility Criteria

Here are the general requirements that an international student should fulfil in order to study an MSc or PhD degree:

MSc Degree:

  • Should have completed a three-year undergraduate program in a relevant discipline from an accredited university with at least 85% GPA.

  • Candidates such as those who have completed a four-year program may also apply. They will be allowed to take courses according to their academic background.

  • Should have taken the GRE (General and Physics test)

PhD Degree:

  • Should have graduated from a Master’s degree program in a relevant discipline from an accredited university with at least 90% GPA.

  • Should have taken the GRE (General and Physics test).

The applicants should first get in touch with the faculty member they would like to work with. Only after that should they apply for admission.

The institute also offers a certificate course of specialisation in quantum science as technology as part of its MSc degree.
