The UK has resumed its priority visa services that allow incoming international students to pay extra bucks for a quicker decision on their visa applications to attend the fresh academic year beginning in September.
The priority visa (PV) and super priority visa (SPV) services designed for students will ensure that applicants who pay more can get their UK student visas as quickly as within 24 hours. The decision has been appreciated by stakeholders as it came at the right time.

The priority visa services were suspended in March without the issuance of a prior warning as they gave priority to processing the UK visas of refugees from Ukraine.
Allex Ellis, UK High Commissioner to India posted a video on his Twitter account and apologised for the massive delays faced by Indian students applying for UK visas.
Indian students have been struggling with processing delays, limited appointment slots and no updates on visa application status. Months of visa delays have caused some students to miss their university term start dates.
Quicker visa decisions will help students to book flights in advance saving them lots of extra cash for last-moment flight tickets.
The British embassies have taken the help of social media and cautioned students that the demand for visas will be high over the next few weeks as the academic year is about to start soon. The UK government is advising students to quickly apply for a visa as gathering documents takes time.
A representative from Universities UK International noted that the resumption of priority and super priority visas is a significant UKVI development which is helping international students to arrive in UK for the fall session.

Countries like Canada and Australia have also been on the same boat, struggling with visa delays as the education sector is undergoing post-Covid recovery.
