University of Essex Online PG Cert Psychology Course 2023 Applications Open Now!

University of Essex, UK is currently accepting applications from international students for its online postgraduate certificate course in Psychology.

PG  Cert Psychology is an online certificate course. Students can use the course to get the foundational knowledge of Psychology. They can also use the course to apply for postgraduate full-time degrees in Psychology. The reputation of the University of Essex shall prove highly beneficial as well. Course Duration: Eight months

Course Type: Part-time Online Course

Course Qualification: Postgraduate Certificate 

Class Strength: 20 students in each class.

Course Credits: The course provides a total of 60 credits, 10 each for Core Principles of Psychological Enquiry and Research Methods, and 20 each for Strategic Human Resource Development and Psychological Assessment at Work.

Course Aims: The course is designed to help students:

• Understand and gains skills relevant to psychological assessment at work.

• Become enabled to practice as an organisational psychologist.

• Understand the significance of human resource development within a global context.

• Use quantitative and qualitative research methods to collect and analyse data.

Course Delivery: The course delivery can be understood through the following highlights:

• The course is delivered on a part-time basis through a 24/7 virtual learning environment. Students can access classes at any time during the day.

• The study material includes multimedia lectures, live skill workshops, and an eLibrary of textbooks and academic journals.

• Multimedia lectures have been built using written content, animation, videos, audio, infographics, etc.

• Discussion forums are available for group discussions among students. Meanwhile, tutors can be directly contacted for doubt clearance and other course discussions.

• The course is divided into modules. Traditionally university has divided the course with a one to two weeks break after each module, and three-week break for the Christmas period. Students need to submit their assignments and assessments during the module breaks.

Note: Students can complete more than one module at a time, however, they will get their course degree only on completion of the official course duration.

PG Cert Psychology Eligibility Criteria

All applicants need to provide proof of their English language proficiency. In this regard, they need to submit English test scores equivalent to 6.5 IELTS bands or above.

Additionally, there are two entry routes to apply for the PG Cert Psychology course.

Academic Entry Route: Students applying under this route must have a bachelor’s degree equivalent to a UK Honours degree or relevant professional degree.

Work Experience Entry Route: Students need to have at least three years of voluntary or paid work experience in the relevant field and role. They need to provide two appropriate references.
