The University of Maryland has announced that international students need to get fully vaccinated against COVID-19 within 30 days of arrival in the US in order to be allowed on-campus this Fall.
In addition, those who are not fully vaccinated with an authorised vaccine will also have to undergo a seven-day self-quarantine along with producing a proof of a negative PCR test taken three to five days after arrival in the US.
According to the University Health Center, the authorised COVID-19 vaccines include Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, Pfizer, Sinovac and AstraZeneca.

The website of the health center also mentions that the last date for international students to complete the vaccination requirement is September 30, 2021.
Further, the university will release information about vaccine clinics on campus in August. By this, it wants to provide the vaccine to all unvaccinated students.
Those international students who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with an authorised vaccine should submit proof of their vaccination and be tested for the virus within three to five days after they have arrived in the US.

Chancellor of the University System of Maryland Jay Perman, in April this year, announced that the vaccination was required for all students, staff and faculty who plan to join the campus in the 2021-22 academic year, unless they were exempt for some religious or medical reason.
Health center director Spyridon Marinopoulos and student affairs vice president Patty Perillo sent out an email to the entire university community about mandating a COVID-19 vaccine, which is an essential step to protecting the community.
