In a bid to provide financial help to international students amid these uncertain times caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the University of Windsor has announced the UWindsor International Tuition Guarantee which will freeze tuition rates for a certain period of time.
The program will put every international student in a cohort year based on their first term at the university. Each cohort will ensure an unchanged tuition rate for the total length of the degree for students who enrol before Summer 2021.
Associate Vice President, Enrolment Management, Chris Busch, said that international students comprise an important part of the university. Freezing tuition rates will make sure that they do not have to face uncertainty and have a “greater incentive” to study at the university.
This will make studying abroad and financial planning for the same easier to manage and appealing as students continue to be affected by the pandemic.
