The Western Australian government has launched a new portal specifically for international students travelling to the state. The portal, which is called the International Students Travel Portal, will be offeringall the necessary information about their studies in Australia, from Covid-related travel and health requirements to ways to get financial assistance from the government.
Theportal also works as asearch engine that will help students find the best flights to Australiaand book their accommodations in Western Australia.
David Templeman, Western Australia's international education minister, said that the portal will make international students feel welcomed in the country. Through the portal, students will be able to easily navigate through the various government regulations and find information about their health and travel accommodations.

Templeman added that the Western Australiangovernment will do its best to make the experience of international students as smooth as possible.
The travel restrictions were initially planned to reopen on February 5, 2022, but Premier Mark McGowan decided to delay the reopening to prevent the spread of the disease. Australia's Western Australia reopened its borders on March 3, 2022, after two years of border closure amid the global pandemic.
The portal is created to help international students get back to Western Australia. However, despite the reopening of the borders, international students are still required to get three doses of an approved-Covid-19vaccine12 hours before theirarrival in Australia.
