Tamil Nadu Class 10 Exam Pattern 2026: The DGE Tamil Nadu releases the TN 10th Exam Pattern 2026 on its official website. The exam pattern includes multiple-choice questions, 2-mark very short questions, 3-mark short answer questions, and 5-mark long answer questions. There are a total of 5 main subjects (Tamil, English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science) included in the curriculum and one optional subject is available for students who want to take one extra subject. The maximum duration for each subject is 2 hours and 30 minutes (from 9:15 AM to 11:45 AM). The maximum marks allotted for each subject are 100 marks and the total marks for the exam are 600. However, for language subjects, there will be two different papers conducted. The minimum passing marks required for the students are 35% out of the total marks. Students have to choose six subjects for the Tamil Nadu SSLC Exam 2026. Tamil, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, and Optional Language are the few subjects included in the curriculum.
