Kyiv Medical University of UAFM Kiev was set up in 1992 and is considered among the best MBBS universities in Ukraine. It has been accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine with Level IV, which is the highest level of accreditation for a higher educational institute in Ukraine. Kyiv Medical University has over 200 well-experienced and highly qualified lecturers and noted scientists for training the future doctors. The university has also been recognised by WHO as one of the top MBBS universities. It has also been recognised by the NMC (National Medical Commission).

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

Students at Kyiv Medical University are encouraged to take part in various extracurricular activities through various sports clubs, cultural clubs (for dancing, singing, painting, poetry, theatre, stage etc). There is also a gym, library and a swimming pool at the university. Various tours and events are also organised for the students so that they get exposure to the history and cultural life of Ukraine. The institute also has a student council which coordinates and manages various activities for the international students. The university offers a 6-year long MBBS programme in General Medicine Pharmacy and Stomatology, with each academic year being divided into two semesters. Each semester has its own curriculum. The course curriculum for the Indian students has been set up as per the EU guidelines (first 3 years focused on Pre Clinical subjects and the final 3 years are focused on Clinical subjects). The university also has good accommodation facilities for the Indian students as the hostel rooms are well-equipped with a range of modern amenities. The supermarket, hospitals, and pharmacy are all at a walking distance from the university.

Accomplishments & Alumni

The university is a part of the listing of the World Directory of Medical Schools - The IMED (The International Medical Education Directory) which means that the students are eligible for United States Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLE) and the Medical Council of Canada (MCC). KMU is also a part of the Avicenna Database which implies that the degree is approved by WHO. KMU has a strong alumni network around the world. KMU graduates have well-paid jobs in various clinics/ hospitals in Ukraine and also worldwide. It has an affordable fee structure and world-class curriculum which make it a good option for studying MBBS abroad.
