For more than 200 years of existence of the university, generations of students have graduated and educated from Goldsmiths. International students percentage of the university i.e., 20 per cent is the result of its welcoming environment. The university encourages strong collaboration, bonding and loyalty among the staff and students. According to the National Student Survey over the years, around 88% of students have declared that they are satisfied with the course.

COVID- 19 Response

The Goldsmiths University of London is following all the guidelines defined by the UK government as a precautionary measure against COVID- 19.

  • Students who were previously advised not to return to campus are now permitted to do so starting from May 17th, 2021 after the permission has been granted by the UK Government. However, the government has still advised everyone to minimise travel.

  • The campus of Goldsmiths University is open. The study spaces and library are not open. Students can also contact the department directly for access to workshops and specialist equipment.

  • Students returning to Goldsmiths campus will have to follow travel procedures and testing rules and regulations as defined by the government.

  • The university has taken all measures to ensure the mental health well being of students and has also introduced temporary changes to NHS COVID-19 testing on campus. Students can book a test on campus when arriving on campus and before doing any campus activity.

Goldsmiths International Scholarships

Goldsmiths International Scholarships are offered to international students enrolled in full-time postgraduate taught and Graduate Diploma programmes at the Goldsmiths University of London. A total of 35 scholarships are offered under this category. 

The eligibility criteria to receive the scholarship is as follows:

  • The candidate must classify as an international student. 

  • The candidates should be eligible to apply for master’s degree courses (except Design and Fine Arts programmes), graduate diploma (except Design), undergraduate courses (except Design, Fine Art and Fine Art Extension programmes) and International Foundation Certificate programmes (except Design) at the Goldsmiths University of London.

  • Candidates must also have an offer for the above-mentioned programmes.

Scholarship Value: Could be worth £2,000, £4,000 and £5,000

How to Apply?

Candidates can apply for the scholarship by filling in the application form available on the official website of the university. Successful applicants are selected on a competitive basis. The important dates associated with the application is as follows:

Commonwealth Master’s Scholarship

Commonwealth Scholarship is funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and is offered to international students enrolled in one of the institutes in the UK.  The eligibility criteria to apply for the scholarship is as follows:

  • Candidates must belong to an eligible Commonwealth country (includes India).

  • Must be applying for master’s degree programmes at the university.

  • Must be unable to afford to study in the UK. 

How to Apply?

Candidates can apply for this scholarship from the Commonwealth Scholarships(CSC) website. The deadline for nominating bodies to submit nominations to the CSC is 1 March 2021.

Scholarship Value: 

  • Approved tuition fee

  • Return airfare from a candidate’s home country to the UK

  • Living allowance ranging between £1,110 - £1,362 on a monthly basis
