Lancaster University is following the UK government and Public Health England advice to ensure the safety of everyone. As the latest update, the university is expected to open the academic and social activities on campus in October 2021. The in-person teaching shall also resume then.
LU is planning to conduct most courses in lecture theatres, labs and seminars as it used to be conducted before the pandemic.
Students returning to campus will have to follow COVID-19 policies, get vaccinated and also get themselves tested regularly to ensure that everyone is safe on the campus.
Students travelling from other places will have to follow guidelines as defined by the UK government for a specific country.
Lancaster University campus is currently open and students can access the academic departments, Base, Chaplaincy, Study areas, Sports Centre, Library, Students' Union and Food outlets and deliveries.
The lab work and research are being conducted in small groups on the campus.
Safety measures are being followed at the university campus like maintaining social distance, sanitising, wearing a mask, increased building ventilation systems etc.
