Nottingham Trent University, also known as NTU, is a public research university that received its university status in 1992. Ever since, this UK-based university has been driving innovation to become one of the UK’s most renowned and established creative universities. With this nurturing environment of NTU, it has won a gold rating by TEF (Teaching Excellence Framework) for outstanding learning and teaching. Situated at Nottingham, United Kingdom the Nottingham Trent University is recognised among the top 1000 universities of the world. The QS Global World Ranking 2021 of the Nottingham Trent University ranges between 751-800. 

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

On the lines of fulfilling its motto ‘shaping futures’, Nottingham Trent University offers more than 500 different UG and PG degree programmes to over 27,000 students. With up to 7,000 international students, the university has nine different academic schools and three campuses in City, Brackenhurst and Clifton. NTU’s City campus has the Boot Library that is the main library of the university. Boot Library is the centre of the city site supporting the Schools of Design & Architecture; the Built Environment; Nottingham Business School; Art & Design; Social Sciences and Nottingham Law School. 

Accomplishments & Alumni

The university has been achieving global recognition for its inclusiveness, teaching, facilities provided, responsibilities and internalisation. In 2015, NTU was ranked as the third most cost-effective UK university by the Student Living Index and things have not changed much for the greater good. For the sustainability of its Clifton and Brackenhurst campuses, Nottingham Trent University has been awarded Green Flags. The People and Planet Green League initiated by NTU made it one of the most environmentally-friendly universities in the whole UK.

Student Diversity & Visiting Companies

The vibrant Nottingham city outside the university campus adds up to its comfortable and student-friendly environment. To foster its students’ active life, Nottingham Trent University hosts a Global Week event every year. The event celebrates the cultural diversity of NTU through a five-day festival of dance, music, drama, cinema and food. Every year, the NTU Work Experience Scheme conducted by the University gives students an opportunity to develop skills and confidence to apply for jobs and get a job after the completion of course. The dedicated Placement Supervisor helps students with job opportunities and gets them placed for the desired job. 

COVID-19 Response 

  • Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is dedicated to providing the best learning experience to students both on-campus and off-campus during the current unprecedented conditions. Things may be slightly different but the effort is still on to not compromise with the quality of education.

  • The university has adopted blended teaching programmes which is the combination of online and in-person teaching. However, most of the undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes are being conducted online. The decision has been taken to ensure the safety of all. 

  • The on-campus sessions are offered only for those courses that require practical learning and conducted in small groups. Meanwhile, students who are requesting to use the resources of the campus are allowed to visit the university with the necessary precautions and safety measures.

  • Group study, demonstrations, lectures and live webinars are being conducted seriously on virtual platforms. There is active collaboration between students and teachers. Assignments and projects are being examined by the concerned department and feedback is being shared at frequent intervals.

NTU International Scholarships

Nottingham Trent University offers various prestigious scholarships and bursaries to its international students. Students who are enrolled in a postgraduate course at the university are eligible to apply for scholarships based on certain terms and conditions. Find out more about the scholarship here: 

How to Apply for NTU Scholarships 2021?

Candidates will not have to fill separate forms for every scholarship they apply to. They can just fill one application form and the university will access candidates for all scholarships open to them. The candidate must have an offer to study before applying for the scholarship.

To apply for scholarship, find out the scholarship application form available on the official website of Nottingham Trent University, fill it completed and email it to  international@ntu.ac.uk before the deadline date.

 Application Deadlines for NTU Scholarships 2021 

There are  two deadlines for Postgraduate courses for January 2021 intake :

  • First Deadline: 14 October 2020

  • Final Deadline: 11 November 2020 (Now Closed)

Note: The scholarships for Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses for September 2021 intake will be announced shortly.

Terms and Conditions for NTU International Scholarships

Check the terms and conditions before applying for NTU International Scholarships: 

  • Candidates must have been made an offer by Nottingham Trent University.

  • The candidate must classify as an international student. 

  • Candidates who have been awarded a PG Masters scholarship up to 50 per cent will not be considered eligible for the automatic fee discount. 

  • The scholarships are not open for sponsored students. 

  • The candidate must be enrolled in the first year of their course in January 2021 or September 2021 intake.

  • Candidates repeating their first year of study are not eligible to apply for the scholarships.

  • Applications from students already enrolled in the university are not eligible. 

  • Applications must be submitted before the deadlines. After that, no application will be entertained.
