Royal Holloway, University of London was formally founded as Bedford College in 1849.The Royal Holloway College was established in 1886. Later in 1900, the colleges became part of the University of London. Finally in 1985, they merged to form Royal Holloway. Today’s Royal Holloway, University of London is a public research university which is situated in Egham, Surrey, England.

Royal Holloway, University of London campus is often named as one of the most beautiful campuses in the world. The motto of the university is ‘Esse quam videri’ which means 'to be rather than to seem'. The university offers a range of accommodation facilities to students. Various courses under various disciplines are offered in more than 21 Department and Schools of the university. It also provides a platform for world class research programmes in various areas.
