Ranked as one of the top 50 universities in the world by QS Global World Ranking, the University of Bristol was founded in 1876. The excellent academic combination of forward-thinking spirit and research orientation is one of the many reasons why the international student strength of the university is more than 19% of the total strength. According to a Times Higher Education (THE) analysis, the University of Bristol is one of the top five UK institutions for research and is also a member of the Russell Group of UK Research-Intensive Universities.

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

The University of Bristol offers over 500 undergraduate and postgraduate courses that students can choose from. From foundation degree to doctorate level degrees, the University of Bristol offers it all. It has a total of nine libraries that offer study spaces, millions of print and online learning & research sources and specialist subject libraries. The university has made a number of facilities available to make sure that the library is accessible to all the users. The university also has three study centres with collaborative and individual study spaces. Every student of the university has access to convenient and high-quality IT facilities. The facilities include powered study spaces, over 2,200 PCs with 24-hour access and free internet (wireless) across the university.

The University of Bristol has been successful in naming itself as one of the best Universities to pursue higher education, since its inception. Its faculty members and students alike have been nominated and won Nobel Prizes and its alumni being one of the highest-paid graduates in the UK. The residence facility provided by the University of Bristol offers 24-hour security, pastoral support, opportunities for networking and involvement with music and drama productions, green initiatives, great social calendar and sporting activities. Other than this, the university also offers a wide array of scholarships and bursaries to its international students. The University of Bristol also has separate scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate aspirants so that a number of meritorious students can avail that benefit. 

COVID-19 Response

  • The University of Bristol has designed certain guidelines to ensure that the students enrolled at the university are safe and secure during the pandemic. Certain safety measures have been taken to ensure that students receive the full-blown Bristol University experience without the risk of being exposed. From sanitisation processes to blended learning modalities, the University of Bristol has worked upon various factors to ensure a safe environment for the students.

  • The University of Bristol is accepting applications for September intake and will continue to accept the application through UCAS of those students who are applying late.

  • The in-person classes are expected to begin from September 2021 as the UK Government has confirmed the on-campus teaching from May 17th, 2021. However, international students from red or amber list countries or territories will not be allowed to enter the UK until further notice.

Michael Wong Pakshong Bursary

Value: £3,000

Entry: For international students who have applied for PG taught courses in the Faculty yog Social Sciences and Law.

Eligibility:

  • Candidates must be classed as International fee-status student

  • Must have applied for a full-time PG taught programmes offered in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law.

Note: The bursary is expected to be used towards living expenses of the student.
 

Global Accounting and Finance Undergraduate Scholarship

Value: £5,000

Entry: International Students pursuing an undergraduate accounting and finance course at the University of Bristol.

Eligibility:

Candidates must have applied for:

  • B.Sc in Accounting and FInance
  • B.Sc in Accounting and Finance with Study Abroad
  • B.Sc in Accounting and Finance with Professional Placement
  • B.Sc in Accounting and Management
  • B.Sc in Accounting and Management with Study Abroad
  • B.Sc in Economics and Accounting
  • B.Sc in Economics and Accounting with Study Abroad
  • B.Sc in Finance

Only international students, or students who have been classified as overseas students for fee purposes are eligible for the scholarship.

Think Big About Global Justice Scholarship

Value: £9,000 distributed over 3 years, i.e. £3,000 p.a.

Entry: Overseas Students for Fee Purposes

Eligibility:

  • Only students classified as international fee-status students are eligible.

  • Applications will only be accepted from students pursuing LLB at University of Bristol.
