Founded in 1966, the University of Surrey is a public research university in the United Kingdom. It is located in Guildford, which is a large town in Surrey and is associated with the Association of MBAs, ACU, EUA, SETsquared, University Global Partnership Network (UGPN), and more. It is one of the prominent universities in the World and holds a QS World University Ranking of 274. It also stands at the 26th position in The Guardian University Guide 2020 and was recognised as an outstanding university after it received a Gold award in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).
Infrastructure, Campus & Courses
Various academic programmes offered at the university are divided under three faculties, which consist of 22 departments and schools dedicated to various areas of study including acting politics, engineering, health sciences, and more. The university believes in expanding its facilities while ensuring sustainable development during its growth. The university also analyses the students satisfaction level by implementing the National Student Survey (NSS) to facilitate a better environment for the students. This facility allows the final-year undergraduate students to give their feedback about their overall experience at the university. It has 300 buildings that achieve BREEAM Excellent that provide a selection of services ranging from laundry rooms to postal services.

The University of Surrey has been ranked 100th in the 2019 edition of the Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings. Graduates of the university are popular for making a name for themselves across a range of areas of study including academia, sports, environment, politics and government, arts, engineering, media and so on. Surreys list of notable alumni also comprises Olympic gold medallists and a great number of senior politicians. The University of Surrey provides a platform for higher education to thousands of students from across the countries. It has over 16,000 students among which more than 6,000 are international students. International students at the University of Surrey cover 36% of the total student population of the university. Any student who joins the university experiences a rich diversity of culture and student communities. With more than 2,300 placement partners, The University of Surrey provides ample opportunities to students at the university. COVID-19 Response
In a bid to assure students a safe and healthy environment during such unprecedented times, the University of Surrey has implemented an appropriate COVID-19 Response.
The University of Surrey is planning to offer face-to-face teaching since the UK Government granted universities permission to conduct on-campus teaching for all courses from May 17, 2021.
The University of Surrey has implemented a full Covid-19 University health and safety policy across campus, risk assessments, enhanced cleaning measures, and more.
Students and staff who will be returning to the campus of the University of Surrey are expected to take regular asymptomatic Covid-19 tests at least once every week. The first test should be taken on returning to campus.
In-person teaching has already been taking place for students pursuing programmes in the areas of veterinary medicine, health medicine, film and video production technology and undergraduate final years in Acting, Actor Musician and Musical Theatre, second and final years in Theatre Production and all Masters programmes.
Students travelling from outside the UK will have to follow the guidelines defined by the UK Government and are required to self-isolate on arrival to the campus accommodation for ten days.
On-campus accommodation facilities are available for both UG and PG students at the University of Surrey.
Scholarship Amount:
The difference between the UK/EU tuition fee* and the international fee charged (up to £17,500)
A maximum maintenance bursary of £1,500 towards books, set up costs, and travel in the first year of study
Eligibility Criteria:
Should be unable to access funding through Student Finance England.
Should have an offer of an undergraduate or postgraduate course at the University of Surrey.
Should not already have an equivalent or higher-level education qualification.

Should have a supporting statement of no longer than 500 words from a referee who should provide their contact details along with proof that the school, college, community or voluntary group they represent will support.
Should submit the required documents received from the Home Office.
Scholarship Amount:
20% discount on taught postgraduate masters programme fees
Eligibility Criteria:
Should be a fully self-funded student.
Should be a UK, EU or international student who has pursued an undergraduate degree at the University of Surrey campus in Guildford.
Should be September/October 2021, February 2021 or February 2022 entrant.
Should be applying for a 2021 postgraduate taught entry programme, who has received any external sponsorship.

How to Apply:
The tuition fee invoice should be emailed to the university email account in October/November 2021 or February 2022.
Scholarship Amount:
£2,500 on first-year fees
Eligibility Criteria:
Should be a national of Thailand, Nigeria, India, Turkey, Vietnam, Pakistan, or Ghana.
Should hold an offer for a full-time masters programme (except MBA), commencing in September/October 2020 or February 2021.
Should meet all the requirements mentioned on offer.
Should be an international fee-paying student.
Should be self-funded.

How to Apply:
No formal application needs to be submitted for this scholarship.
Note: For programmes longer than one year such as MSc Electronic Engineering, the award is payable for the first year of study only.

10%-50% of the total tuition fee, awarded on a rolling basis
Eligibility Criteria:
Must hold a lower second-class degree or equivalent.
Must be a UK, EU or overseas student
Must be studying full or part-time
Must comply with the English language requirements (IELTS Academic: 6.5 overall grade with 6.0 or equivalent)

Scholarship Amount:
£1,950 to cover studies, salaried training, along with fast track education plus academic and industrial experience
