Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University Fees Structure & Courses List 2024-25

BRAOU Hyderabad offers a broad range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in addition to M.Phil., PhD, diploma, and certificate programmes.

• Bachelor of Arts is available in the specialisations in English, Hindi, Telugu, Economics, History, Political Science, Sociology, Public Administration, Journalism, and more.
• The Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) programme covers taxation, financial accounting, cost accounting, management accounting, and general commerce, among other specialisations.
• B.Sc course is offered in specialisations such as computer science, electronics, IT, botany, zoology, statistics, physics, chemistry, and mathematics.
• M.Sc courseSpecialisations in computer science, electronics, IT, botany, zoology, statistics, physics, chemistry, and mathematics are available for master of science (M.Sc.) degrees.

BRAOU provides Ph.D. and M.Phil. programmes in a range of areas from the streams of Arts, Science, Commerce, and Social Sciences. A wide variety of diploma and certificate programmes in many other sectors, including management, IT, journalism, education, social work, healthcare, and many more, are available at the university.

The admission to the most of the BRAOU Hyderabad courses is carried out on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the last qualifying exam. For admission to some courses, the university conducts its own entrance exam i.e. BRAOU Eligibility Test. Additionally, for admission to the MBA course, the university also accepts TS ICET scores.

To be eligible for B.Com admission at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU), you must meet the minimum eligibility criteria set by the university. The candidates must be an Indian national. They must have passed class 12 or an equivalent exam with a minimum of 50% marks from any recognised board. Interested candidates can apply even if they are appearing in your qualifying examination, but will need to submit proof of passing it at the time of admission. 

The requirements for admission to the MBA programme at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University vary slightly for candidates who are in-service and recent graduates. A recognised bachelor's degree from any UGC-recognised university, with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/BC categories) in the qualifying examination, such as a B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., BBA, BBM, BCA, BE, B.Tech., or any other three or four year degree. You have to pass the Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET), which is administered by the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. For general category candidates, there is a minimum qualifying mark of 25%; but for SC/ST candidates, there is no minimum. For in-service candidates, at least 50% marks in the BRAOU-MBA Entrance Test (BRAOUMBAET) is considered for merit list preparation. This test is only applicable if the number of applications exceeds the available seats for in-service candidates.

The BRAOU Hyderabad fees can be paid through various modes, such as -

• Challans: Using the BRAOU website, create a challan, then pay at any Andhra Bank, State Bank of India, Indian Bank, Syndicate Bank, Union Bank of India, or HDFC Bank branch. For this method, you will need your student ID and a copy of the challan.
• Demand Draft (DD): Enclose your application form or fee remittance form to the Registrar's office, together with a bank draft made payable to "The Registrar, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad".
• BRAOU Online Portal: Debit and credit cards, net banking, UPI, and wallets like Paytm can all be used to make payments using the BRAOU online portal. You'll need your password and student ID to access this option.
• Payment Gateway Integration: BRAOU may integrate with approved payment gateways such as BillDesk or Razorpay for particular programmes.
