Infrastructure, Campus & Courses
Situated in an urban setting, the university has a 17 story building, Newman Vertical Campus. The campus is in reach of Wall Street, Midtown, and also the global headquarters of major companies, non-profit and cultural organizations. The campus has classrooms, computer centers, science and research labs, theaters, fitness centers, libraries, greenhouses, astronomy observatories, multipurpose buildings, and space, etc on 28 million square feet of space. Baruch College provides an inclusive and brainstorming transformational education in the field of arts, sciences, business, public and international affairs to students from New York and across the globe. It creates new knowledge through scholarship and research. They have all the majors especially accountancy, sociology, management, computer science, and journalism, etc.

The Marxe School of Public and International Affairs is recognized for its various academic and research activities as well as service in the areas of social and community sectors like municipal government, nonprofit administration, policy analysis, and evaluation, health care policy, and educational administration. The notable alumni from Baruch college include celebrities, politicians, business people, athletes and more namely Jennifer Lopez (Singer), Ralph Lauren (Fashion Designer) and Fernando Ferrer (Politician).

The College has a count of approximately 18,000 students, who speak more than 110 languages belonging to more than 160 countries. The University campus has a nearly equal gender distribution with 51.6% men and 48.4% Women. Asians contribute to the student body with the highest numbers (41.5%). The Office of Student Life develops and enhances the co-curricular college experience of Baruch students.
