One of the tops ranked private universities in Peoria, Illinois was founded in 1897 by philanthropist Lydia Moss Bradley. It is one of the members of space-grant colleges and accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). Bradley University is listed among the top universities in Illinois by the U.S. News and World Report’s annual America’s Best Colleges rankings for Midwest Regional Universities in their 2020 edition. It is also ranked No. 4 in the list of Best Regional Universities in the Midwest by U.S. News and World Report.
