California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), is a part of the California State University system. Originally established as Los Angeles - Orange County State College in 1949, the campus is the second-largest out of 23 campuses under the system. The campus houses 84 buildings and is only at a five-kilometre distance from the Pacific Ocean. Being near the ocean, the university has heavily invested in environmental sustainability campaigns such as coastal clean-ups, plant restoration, hikes, etc. California State University, Long Beach has academic affiliations with ASAIHL and Space Grant and is accredited by WSCUC. With over 100,000 applicants, CSU Long Beach has become the most applied to campus in the CSU system. 

California State University, Long Beach, offers a total of 81 Bachelor’s, 67 Master’s, and 3 Doctorate degrees. It also has the provision of 16 education-related credential programmes. Application Process

California State University, Long Beach, the application process consists of the following steps:

  • Students need to first research the courses offered by the three Liberal Arts colleges and five Vocational Colleges of the university.

  • Once decided on the course, they need to check the eligibility requirements of each course and see whether they satisfy them or not.

  • If the eligibility requirements consist of certain exams, such as standardised tests or language proficiency tests, students need to attempt these exams and score as the minimum eligibility requirements.

  • Once the test scores and other required transcripts are ready, students need to acquire the application form from California State University Long Beach.
