Established in 1960 as Stanislaus State College, California State University — Stanislaus (CSUStan) is a public institution holding high ground among the higher education establishments in Western U.S.A. The institute was opened at Stanislaus County Fairgrounds in Turlock. In 1965, it was moved to its current location after gaining university status. The establishment is a part of the California State University system, which is the largest public education system of the U.S.A. with over 4,30,000 enrollments. California State University, Stanislaus is consistently rated among the Best Colleges in the nation by The Princeton Review.
Infrastructure, Campus & Courses
The main campus of the university is located in Turlock. It is a beautiful 228-acre campus containing the region’s largest urban forest. Opened in 1998, Stockton is the second campus of the institution. The institution offers 43 majors, 41 minors and 15 graduate programmes. Some of the most popular areas of study at CSUStan include Business Administration, Liberal Arts and Sciences, Criminal Justice etc. It is also known for providing the best Nursing Programmes in California.

California State University Stanislaus has decided to offer the Spring Term 2021 courses in online mode with few exceptions. Students can access the classes through virtual platform/ remote instructions.
The critical services of the university remain open and continue to function from campus. All necessary details and updates are published by the university on the official website. Also, students are being communicated via emails for any updates and information.
The university is open to provide special accommodation facilities to students with disabilities. For this, students can directly contact the concerned authority.
The classes are being offered in various formats for the Fall term 2020 which is listed below:
Fully Online - Asynchronous: These are the recorded classes and students can access it any time. There is no specific meeting for Fully Online - Asynchronous classes.
Fully Online - Synchronous: These are live-streamed classes via Zoom Canvas etc. and there is a specific meeting time to attend the class
Hybrid Online - Synchronous: In this case, both in-person class meetings and online class meetings will be held with a predefined timing.
Hybrid Online - Asynchronous: In this case, both in-person class meetings and online class meetings will be held with a pre-defined timing for an in-person meeting. However, there will be no predetermined timing for online meetings.
International Student Scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in undergraduate as well as postgraduate programmes on the basis of merit as well as community service.
The applicant must be enrolled in a full-time degree programme at California State University, Stanislaus and have an active F-1 visa. Also, he/ she should have completed at least one semester of study at Stanislaus State.
The scholarships will be awarded based on the application, academic qualifications, and statement of purpose submitted by the candidate.
The number of scholarships awarded each year depends on the availability of funds. Scholarships available are competitive and are offered for any area of study.
Value: $1,000 ($500 per semester; renewable every academic year)
