Cleveland State University, abbreviated as CSU, is a public research university located in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, in the United States of America. It was established in the year 1964 and was opened for classes in 1965 after acquiring the Fenn College. In 1969, Cleveland State University absorbed the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and is a part of the University System of Ohio today with more than 120,000 alumni and offering over 200 academic programmes. Over the years, Cleveland State University has been placed in some of the leading rankings of the global level. In the field of social mobility and vital research itself, CSU has been ranked on the 18th position in the US and on the 1st position in Ohio. Cleveland State University has all the appropriate affiliations including the APLU, CUMU, Urban 13, the University System of Ohio, etc.
Infrastructure, Campus & Courses
The campus of Cleveland State University is urban and is spread over an area of 85 acres. Many disciplines and research facilities are offered at CSU which includes 70 academic majors, 27 master's degree programmes, two post master's degrees, two law degrees, and six doctoral degrees. The university also has research cooperation agreements with the nearby NASA Glenn Research Center. The campus of Cleveland State University consists of nine academic colleges and five specialty semi-autonomous schools. The colleges included are those of Law, Graduate Studies, Education and Human Services, Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Sciences and Health Professions, Engineering, Urban Affairs, Business, and the Jack, Joseph, and Morton Mandel Honors College. There are five schools at CSU and they are of Nursing, Communication, Film and Media Arts, Health Sciences, and Social Work.

COVID-19 Response
Cleveland State University has outlined certain regulations and guidelines, to ensure the safety of all those on the campus. From safety measures adhering to the social distancing norms to a hybrid model of education, Cleveland State University is dedicated to providing the best learning outcomes to its students. Students arriving at the college must download a Working Well App, where a daily health assessment must be provided.
Nearly half the courses will be offered in-person on-campus. 100-level first-year courses along with courses where faculty believe that in-person instructions are required will be included in the in-person classes.
Classrooms have been modified to accommodate social distancing norms. Students with classes on-campus, faculty, specified staff needed for essential services are allowed to visit the campus, which will help in reducing the footprint on the campus.
Remote options will be made available wherever possible, to assist students with high risk.
Sanitizing and Cleaning processes have been increased with sanitizers, disinfecting wipes and spray cleaners available across the campus for the students.
Additional spaces have been adopted to accommodate the larger student population when required.
