Founded in 1985, the Collin College is a student community centred institution in McKinney, Texas. It is the only public college in the County to offer more than 100-degree programmes and certificates in wide areas of study including the bachelor's degree in Nursing and Applied Technology. The college is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission to grant baccalaureate, associate and certificate courses. It is also accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) for nursing degree programmes. Collin College is committed to impart quality education that helps students develop skills, intellect and build personality and brighter the future of students and communities. 

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

Collin College has multiple campuses- Collin Higher Education Center, Courtyard Center, Frisco Campus, McKinney Campus, Plano Campus, Public Safety Training Center, Rockwall Center, Technical Campus and Wylie Campus. Two campuses at Farmersville and Celina are under construction. Collin College offers more than 100 degree and certificate programmes in various areas of study like Associate of Arts, Associate of Applied Science, Associate of Science and Associate of Arts in Teaching degrees. In 2020, Collin College started offering bachelor's degree programmes in Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Bachelor of Applied Technology (BAT) in Cybersecurity degree programmes. 

Accomplishments & Alumni 

Collin College was awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for 22 years by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada. The college takes pride in knowing that its alumni hold a remarkable position in a different work sector. Many of Collin’s graduates join prestigious universities like Yale, Cornell, Tulane etc. for higher studies. Others hold successful careers as medical professionals, researchers, artists, entrepreneurs etc. Some of the prominent alumni of Collin College are Vincent Nguyen- scientist, Scott Michael Foster- Actor, Michael Urie- Actor, Geoffrey Bailey- White House intern to name a few.
