California State University, Dominguez Hills is a state-funded college in Carson, California. It was established in 1960 and is a part of the California State University system. CSU Dominguez Hills has been accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). California State University—Dominguez Hills's ranking in the US News & World Report 2020 edition of Best Colleges is Regional Universities West, #72. 

Infrastructure, Campus and Courses

California State University—Dominguez Hills is spread across 346-acres. CSUDH offers 46 majors for a Bachelor's degree, and 23 different Master's degrees through its six colleges namely College of Arts and Humanities, College of Business Administration and Public Policy, College of Extended and International Education, College of Health, Human Services and Nursing, College of Education, and College of Natural and Behavioral Sciences. The most popular majors at California State University--Dominguez Hills include Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services; Psychology; Health Professions and Related Programs; Social Sciences; and Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, Firefighting and Related Protective Services.

Accomplishments & Alumni 

In sports, California State University--Dominguez Hills is part of the NCAA II. CSUDH is one of an elite group of institutions worldwide that have achieved status as an “All-Steinway School.” University faculty and students learn, practice, and perform only on pianos designed by the world-famous Steinway & Sons, whose instruments are the choice for serious piano players worldwide. CSUDH has established a Center for Innovation in STEM Education (CISE), partially funded by a grant from the Annenberg Foundation, that serves as a regional and national think tank to address disparities and opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math education. The university has credentialed more science and mathematics teachers in the state of California than any other institution over the past 10 years. Notable alumni include Karen Bass, Joe Buscaino, Niecy Nash, Kevin Pillar, Ben Swann, Tony Alfaro, Jeff Coopwood, Alejandro Covarrubias, Jason Farol.

California State University, Dominguez Hills is among the most ethnically-diverse universities in the United States with a student population that is 64.3 percent Hispanic/Latino; 13.4 percent Black/African American, 8.5 percent White, 10.2 percent Asian or Pacific Islander, 0.1 percent American Indian, and 3.1 percent two or more races. Immigrant and visa students on the campus represent 100 countries. Companies hiring graduates from the university are Deloitte, PWC, Microsoft, Google and so on.
