Overview

History,  Affiliation, and Rankings 

CSU Fullerton was established in 1957, Orange County State College became the 12th state college in California to be authorized by the state legislature as a degree-granting institution. Later a site was designated for the campus to be established in northeast Fullerton. 

CSU Fullerton is affiliated by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). Some of the academic programs at CSUF are also affiliated by discipline-specific accreditation agencies and associations.
California State University-Fullerton is ranked #17 in Regional Universities West 2020, and #7 in Best Undergraduate Teaching 2020 and #26 in Best Value Schools 2020 by the US News.

Infrastructure, Campus, and Courses 

This college has a city setup, which enrolls around 35,000 students. It has a vast campus comprising 236 acres. This college uses a semester-based academic calendar. California State University—Fullerton's ranking in the 2020 edition of Best Colleges is Regional Universities West, #17

CSUF has an amazing location in the center of Orange County, 30 miles from Los Angeles. CSUF holds some 50 undergraduate degrees and almost 50 master’s programs, amongst those in the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics, the education school, and the highly ranked midwifery and anesthesiology programs in the nursing department. 

Accomplishments & Alumni

This university was awarded a best practices Award in 2015 for energy efficiency and sustainability. Apart from this, the college has been chosen to perform at the American College Dance Festival in Washington D.C since 2003. In 2015, the college was leading to close the achievement gap in campaign opportunity for the state of higher education in California. It was also regarded in the top 25 colleges in the country for giving bachelor’s degrees to Latinos enrolling for health professionals and first for awarding degrees to Hispanics. Apart from this college have many other achievements in sustainability, best practices award, higher education site & Billion Dollar Green Challenge. Notable alumni include Kevin Costner, Bruce Bowen, Cedric Ceballos, Mark Collins, Ashley Force Hood, Gwen Stefani, Marc Cherry, and many more.

Student Diversity and Visiting companies

Students at Cal State Fullerton have a majority in Hispanic students with a reasonable White population. The school has very high racial diversity. As many as 78 % of students are minorities. The gender ratio is good with approximately 55% female and 44% male. The university is a preferred place for international students and has more than 3000 international students. The Titan Career Ambassadors (TCAs) work as the connection between students and the  Career Center. Along with Titan, many expos are fairs that are conducted on a timely basis for jobs and internships. Top employers include Modern Woodmen, Galileo, The Princeton Review, Anaheim, Foster Future, and so on.
