Opening in 1965 with just 30 faculty members serving 239 students California State University, San Bernardino or CSUSB as it's informally known is a part of the 23 campuses California State University system. Accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, CSUSB has professional program accreditation for many programs such as AACSB International (Administration), National Association of Schools of Art and Design (Art), American Chemical Society (Chemistry), Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET (Computer Engineering) & Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET (Computer Science) among a list of 10+ Accreditations. The Princeton Review & US News and World Report both list CSUSB as one of the best colleges and universities in the United States, with the former ranking CSUSB's Jack H. Brown College of Business as No.296 among best business schools worldwide and the later mentioning the Jack H. Brown College of Business as one of the top 20 schools of business in the world & No.18 most innovative business school. It is also ranked No.22 Best Value Schools and No.44 Regional Universities West by US News & World Report 2020.

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

The majestic San Bernardino Mountains are the backdrop of CSUSB's 430+ acre campus which houses the Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art & the Murillo Family Observatory which are the major attractions among 38+ academic and non-academic buildings. CSUSB offers roughly 228 programs with the help of separate colleges/departments namely the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration, College of Education, College of Extended Learning, Colleges of Social and Behavioral Sciences, College of Arts and Letters & the College of Natural Sciences. The University offers more than 65 Masters Degree Programs in addition to 138 Bachelors Degree Programs. Popular majors include Business Administration & Management, General Psychology, Criminal Justice & Corrections, Health & Physical Education and Sociology.

Accomplishments & Alumni

Being a military-friendly institute and also being a part of President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll(w/distinction), CSUSB is proud of having an economic impact of a staggering $500 million i.e. half a billion dollars whilst serving nearly 20,000 students each year. Annual State Tax revenue contributions stand at $32 million.

With over 80,000 alumni across 30+ countries and in all fifty states of The US, many notable names have picked up valuable lessons from CSUSB. The more prominent ones are Robert Eatinger (served with USN NSA and CIA lawyer), Ahmed Sultan Bin Sulayem(Executive Chairman of the DMCC, Dubai-UAE), Ernest Chavez (MMA, UFC), Paul Cook (Politician) & Sharon Jordan (actress).

Campus life at CSUSB revolves around extensive outreach and inclusiveness. With the highest number of Mexican Americans in the CSU system the university also boasts a strong, rich and diverse student population; thus mirroring the diversity and dynamic nature of the local region. With a freshman enrollment of 2,682 this past year, the number of international freshman students was 179 bringing the total international student population to 7.2% of the student body.
