East West University came into being in 1980. Its main aim was to provide quality education at affordable prices. With time, the university grew and has become a significant college that serves more than 1000 students every year. The university has received accreditation from the Higher learning commission. The graduates of the university can be seen across the world, excelling in their fields. Among other private universities, East West is famous for its low tuition fees, which makes it an accessible institute for students from other countries. The University is ranked #164-#215 in National Liberal Arts Colleges by US News 2020.

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

There are 3 main buildings on the campus of the university, which are connected by the bridges. The names are the East building, the Loftrium building and the Student center. Another important feature of the East West is its Veteran Students programme in which it serves students who have either served the military or have been serving it. From the variety of education programmes, the most popular ones are business, behavioural sciences, information sciences, and liberal arts.

Accomplishments & Alumni

The university organises a lecture series that happens every Thursday. Professionals from various fields are attracted to this and have presented their lectures. Some popular names are labour lawyer Thomas Geoghegan and former Chicago Tribune columnist Mike Conklin. It has also been publishing its student newspaper named The Phantom Press.

The university has a very healthy ratio of men (46%) and women (54%). East West welcomes students from various backgrounds and the university has the 2nd highest percentage of international students as per the U.S News and World Report list. Approximately 20% of the students are international students. The international students may receive an institutional scholarship of up to 30% of tuition. The median salary of the students six years after their graduation is the US $26,000. Approximately 87% of students get placed in their field within 2nd year after their graduation.
