Indiana University – Bloomington (IU Bloomington) was founded in 1820. It is situated in Bloomington, Indiana and is a flagship university under the Indiana University system. The University is a public research university and is always ranked among the top 100 national universities in the US and the top 50 public universities. IU Bloomington is a member of the North Central Association and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
