Indiana University –Kokomo was founded in 1945. It is a public institution located in Kokomo, Indiana. The School of Business received its accreditation by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International). The School of Nursing Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.)  program at the university is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Indiana University—Kokomo is ranked #55 - #70 in the 2020 edition of Best Colleges among Regional Colleges Midwest by the US News and World Report ranking system. 

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

The campus is spread over 51 acres of an urban setting. The facility available for students includes a jogging and walking track, a cardio and strength training area, 2 multi-purpose rooms, and also a health studies room and lockers. The University also offers safety and security services for its students like 24-hour foot and vehicle patrols, lighted pathways/sidewalks, late-night transport/escort service, controlled dormitory access (key, security card, etc.).

The most popular majors at Indiana University--Kokomo include: Health Professions and Related Programs; Business, Management, Marketing, Liberal Arts, General Studies, Humanities; Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, Fire fighting, and Related Protective Services.

Accomplishments & Alumni

In sports, Indiana University--Kokomo is also a part of the NAIA. The Indiana University Alumni Association Kokomo Region offers the Indiana University Kokomo Alumni Association Scholarship and the Kokomo Region Alumni Scholarship to any new or old student enrolled in six (6) credit hours per semester at the University. Notable alumni are: E.W.Kelly, Natalie Guest, Rose Ryan, Ron Herrell and many more.
 
Student Diversity & Visiting Companies

Indiana University--Kokomo has 4106  students.  The gender distribution is 36% male students and 64% female students. The student-faculty ratio at the University is 15:1. Student Union Board is the official campus activities board for IU Kokomo students. They organize and plan many campus activities to promote student life, the involvement of all the students, and an entertaining campus environment. The group also focuses on developing friendships, leadership and networking opportunities within the group. With nearly 10.7% of students coming from different countries, the university welcomes international students.
Companies visiting the campus for recruitment are Chrysler, Delphi Corporation, Haynes International, Holder Mattress, Syndicate Sales, and the Coca-Cola bottling plant.
