Manchester University dates back to 1860 when it was founded by the United Brethren Church in Roanoke, Indiana. In 2012, Manchester changed its name from Manchester College to Manchester University to reflect the growing number of graduate programs offered. As the university’s religious affiliation with the Church continues, it has been accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools since 1932.  The U.S. News & World Report's America's Best Colleges guide 2021 and the Princeton Review rank the university among the top 25 "Best Colleges" in the Midwest. It received the 'Best College' ranking for 25 years in a row.

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

Spanning across an area of 120 acres, the Manchester University campus is located only two turns away from downtown North Manchester. The private liberal arts university has two campuses, one in North Manchester (the main campus), Indiana, and another in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Total enrollment is approximately The university comprises five residence halls namely East Hall, Helman Hall, Garver Hall, Schwalm Hall, Oakwood Hall and East Street Apartments along with over sixty student clubs and organisations. The campus includes up-to-date and advanced classrooms where more than 70 fields of undergraduate study, three of postgraduate (accountancy, athletic training and pharmacogenomics), a professional doctorate in pharmacy and a dual degree are delivered. Nearly 40 percent of Manchester’s student body participates in intercollegiate athletics and intramurals. 

Accomplishments & Alumni

Manchester University, USA does not only stand out because of its remarkable faculty and education standards but also because of its notable alumni. Tech entrepreneurs, NFL players and even a U.N. official and a Nobel Prize winner are counted among Manchester University’s notable alumni. Manchester graduates also contributed more than 47,000 hours of community service, earning a spot on the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for the fifth year in a row. The university is ranked 14th among the US’ baccalaureate colleges for its “contribution to the public good”.

Manchester University demonstrates its commitment to diversity through a strong retention efforts for students of color and international students and an aggressive recruitment of a diverse student body among other things. The university has a longstanding reputation for successful graduates and graduate employability. Every year, around 98% of its graduates enter the workforce, take up higher education or join full-time voluntary service within six months after graduation (five-year average on graduating classes). The university further offers an “employment guarantee” to its undergraduate students and its Office of Career and Professional Development makes sure that students learn strategies to explore, evaluate, and implement career goals that match their life values.
