Founded in 1837, Marshall Academy had been named after the Fourth Chief Justice of the United States, John Marshall. Over the years of its existence, Marshall Academy gained its reputation as a resilient educational institution and gained its University status in the late 1960s. In recent years, Marshall University has gained a name as one of the best institutions, especially in the field of management, Engineering, Healthcare and even Online courses. Marshall University is devoted to bringing quality education to the youth of the country and the world.

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

Located on the banks of the Ohio River, Marshall University has established a number of academic, residential and recreational facilities throughout the campus. Incoming students will be able to call the Marshall University campus home as the university has erected a number of halls and residential complexes at different points on the campus. Marshall University offers a range of undergraduate, graduate and professional courses in the field of Management, Engineering, Healthcare and Medicine, Arts, Education, Applied & Pure Sciences, Computer Science, which have been accredited by the relevant accreditation institutions.

COVID-19 Response

To ensure the safety and health of each student, staff and faculty on-campus, Marshal University has implemented the crucial social distancing measures on on-campus activities. From wearing face-masks and maintaining a 2-meter distance to converting into a hybrid model of learning, students at Marshall University are assured safety from the virus. However, along with the university, the students are expected to follow the guidelines and take the appropriate measures to ensure their safety along with the others surrounding them.

  • A blended model of learning has been adopted, which includes, face-to-face, live sessions and online pre-recorded classes as well.

  • Residential complexes will be open to all students for the Fall 2020 Semester.

  • All students and employees will be tested for the virus, randomly to help in detecting potentially infected individuals and quarantine the virus before it spreads.

John Marshall Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Candidates should have secured a minimum GPA of 3.9 or higher in their high school. 
  • Candidates should also have attempted ACT or SAT. Candidates with an ACT score of 30 or higher or an SAT score of 1360 or higher are eligible for the scholarship.
  • For renewal of the scholarship, candidates should have completed 30 credit hours every academic year at Marshall University. The candidate should also have secured a minimum GPA of 2.75 at the end of the freshman year and a 3.0 GPA at the end of the sophomore and junior years.

Amount: US$ 14,000

John Laidley Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Applicants should have secured a minimum GPA of 3.7 in High School.
  • Applicants must either have secured an ACT score of 28 or an SAT score of 1300 in order to be considered for the scholarship.
  • For renewal of the scholarship, candidates should have completed 30 credit hours every academic year at Marshall University. The candidate should also have secured a minimum GPA of 2.75 at the end of the freshman year and a 3.0 GPA at the end of the sophomore and junior years.

Amount: US$ 12,000

Board of Governors Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • All aspirants should have secured a GPA of 3.5 or higher in High School.
  • Aspirants with an ACT score of 26 or an SAT score of 1230 are eligible for the scholarship.
  • For renewal of the scholarship, candidates should have completed 30 credit hours every academic year at Marshall University. The candidate should also have secured a minimum GPA of 2.75 at the end of the freshman year and a 3.0 GPA at the end of the sophomore and junior years.

Amount: US$ 10,500

Presidential Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Candidates applying must have secured a minimum GPA of 3.25 in High School.
  • Candidates who have secured an ACT score of 24 or an SAT score of 1160 are eligible for the scholarship.
  • For renewal of the scholarship, candidates should have completed 30 credit hours every academic year at Marshall University. The candidate should also have secured a minimum GPA of 2.75 at the end of the freshman year and a 3.0 GPA at the end of the sophomore and junior years.

Amount: US$ 8,000

A. Michael Perry Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Applicants should have secured a GPA of 3.0 or higher in High School.
  • Applicants are also required to have attempted ACT or SAT. Those with an ACT score of 22 or an SAT score of 1100 are eligible for the scholarship.
  • For renewal of the scholarship, candidates should have completed 30 credit hours every academic year at Marshall University. The candidate should also have secured a minimum GPA of 2.75 at the end of the freshman year and a 3.0 GPA at the end of the sophomore and junior years.

Amount: US$ 6,000

Opportunity Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Aspirants are required to ensure that they have secured a minimum GPA of 3.0 in High School.
  • Candidates with an ACT score of 20 or an SAT score ranging between 1030 to 1090 are eligible for the scholarship.
  • For renewal of the scholarship, candidates should have completed 30 credit hours every academic year at Marshall University. The candidate should also have secured a minimum GPA of 2.75 at the end of the freshman year and a 3.0 GPA at the end of the sophomore and junior years.

Amount: US$ 5,000

Incoming Freshmen Honors College Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Candidates should have secured a GPA of 3.5 or higher in High School.
  • Applicants who have secured an ACT score of 26 or an SAT score of 1230 are eligible for the Honours scholarship.
  • For renewal of the scholarship, candidates should have completed 30 credit hours every academic year at Marshall University. The candidate should also have secured a minimum GPA of 3.3 at the end of every academic year.
