History, Affiliations and Rankings

Midwestern University (MWU) was built up in 1900 as the American College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery by J. Martin Littlejohn (1865-1947), then this association was merged in Chicago, Illinois, to prepare doctors in a not-revenue driven condition. In 2018, the university opened the College of Graduate Studies, which offers master's degree programs in biomedical sciences on both campuses. Midwestern University is certified by The Higher Learning Commission, a Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. This university bags its country ranking at #1070 and world at #3161. 

Infrastructure, Campus and Courses  

Amongst the two Midwestern University campuses both are in vicinity to huge metropolitan zones. The Downers Grove, Illinois Campus, with 105 sections of land flaunting innovative facilities, settles peacefully in a lush setting 25 miles west of downtown Chicago. Next campus, Glendale, the Arizona Campus, a 156-section of land area that remembers best in class facilities for a serene setting, is only 15 miles northwest of downtown Phoenix. Achievements and Alumni 

The Scientist magazine named Midwestern University the sixth best scholastic or noncommercial research establishment in the country in its "Best Places to Work in Academia" rankings. Midwestern University's Glendale Campus and Clinics earned the Western Maricopa Coalition (WESTMARC) Quality of Life Enhancement in Education. The Downers Grove got the Business Excellence Award for Large Business. Its Glendale Campus was awarded as one of the Valley of the Sun's Healthiest Employers .The Downers Grove Campus got a U.S. Natural Protection Agency and Chicago Wilderness Conservation and Native Landscaping Award for the rehabilitation of 8.97 sections of land of wetlands and oak-hickory woods .To name a few alumni from many are, Clinton Adam, Joseph Mercola, James N.Weinstein, Richard Scheuring, Stephan McNallen.

Midwestern State University is considered to be above average in overall diversity, and is ranked #881 nationwide. It has a mix of White, Hispanic /Latino, Black or African American, Asian and many others. The University thus welcomes a good number of  international students each year. The graduates from MSU are placed in reputed companies across the globe like Walgreens, Walmart, CVS Health, CVS Pharmacy, UnitedHealth Group and so on.
