Missouri State University was founded in 1905 as the Fourth District Normal School. After several amendments and changes, it received the university status and was named Southwest Missouri State University. Finally, in 2005, the university was renamed Missouri State University. Located in Springfield, Missouri, United States, the University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) along with various other accreditation bodies. MSU is listed for its top Area MBA Program by Ingram’s Magazine, Kansas City’s business magazine.  The U.S. News & World Report 2022 ranks MSU within the range of 299-391 among top national universities and 220th in Top Performers on Social Mobility.

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses 

Missouri State University has three campuses: three in Missouri and one in Dalian, China. The main campus consists of more than 40 buildings located on a total area of 225 acres. The university has seven academic colleges and one Graduate College forming the complete structure of the academic programs of the university. It offers 102 Bachelor’s, 61 Masters and 7 Doctoral programmes. The cost of study at Missouri State University is lower than most other universities in the state and low below the national average cost of study.
