Northeastern University is a private university which was founded in 1898. It is a co-educational institute and the main campus of the university is situated in Boston, Massachusetts of the United States. It is a large residential university that allows students from across the world to take admission in various courses offered at the university campus. Northeastern University is ranked as number 40 in the list of National Universities. The ranking is achieved on the basis of performance and excellence of the university in various parameters like quality education, dedicated faculty, resources and research work. The university believes in education for all and grants scholarship and funds to more than three- fourth of the students of the university.

Northeastern University main campus is situated in an urban area and it expands over an area of 73 acres. The world-class education of Northeastern University is offered at multiple locations. Apart from Boston, the university also has campuses at Charlotte, San Francisco and Seattle. Toronto is the first international campus of Northeastern University. The other international campus is in Vancouver.

COVID-19 Response 

Northeastern University reopens the classroom instructions for the Fall term. The classes will be offered in hybrid format. Hybrid NUflex is the mode of instruction that will allow international students to opt for either remote classes or in-person instruction. The classroom session will be held in a healthy environment with all necessary precautions like social distancing and hygiene.

International students whose study permit is not approved may start the online classes or they can defer it for next year. 

The online studies will be taken into consideration for the requirements of the post-graduation work permit. It will not affect the duration as long as the online studies will not exceed more than 50% of the entire course.
