It is a public research university located in West Lafayette city in Indiana, United States. The main building of the university (University Hall) was constructed in 1877, which is the central building on Purdue campus and today it is the oldest building on campus. Starting its life on 100 acres of land and four buildings, Purdue University now has four campuses including campuses in West Lafayette (Main Campus), Fort Wayne, Indianapolis and Purdue Northwest. COVID-19 Response

  1. Purdue University will restart on-campus classes for the upcoming Fall semester. Students will be required to test for COVID-19 before the start of the fall semester.

  2. International students who are unable to apply for a visa for the upcoming fall semester will have the following options.

  • Online Coursework: Candidates can choose the course work online and complete the entire degree online or transfer to campus depending on visa and university regulations. Candidates can join the course as part-time or full-time. Students who will join the course online will have to complete the entire semester online even after a visa is issued. 
  • Defer Admission: International students who cannot join classes for the upcoming Fall semester can defer admission for one year from the originally admitted term. During COVID-19, students have got an option to defer the course for a second time.
