The Catholic University of America was initially established as a papally chartered graduate and research center in 1887 and began offering undergraduate education in 1904. The university has earned accreditation from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). The university has been ranked number 139 in Best National University Rankings and number 84 in Best Value Schools by U.S. News & World Report. Times Higher Education has  ranked the university 153rd in the US Ranking 2020. 

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

The 176 acres campus is located in the residential community of Brookland in Northeast Washington D.C. with Romanesque and modern design which dominates among the university's 50 major buildings. The opening of the Edward J. Pryzbyla University Center in the spring of 2003, brought student dining services, the campus bookstore, student organization offices, an 800-person ballroom, and a convenience store. With 12 schools in addition to 21 research centers and facilities, the university offers Doctor of Philosophy degrees in 66 programmes, Master's Degrees in 103 programmes and undergraduate degrees in 72 programmes in subjects like Business & Economics, Law, Architecture and more.

Accomplishments & Alumni

The university has been named as one of the best values of any private school in the country by Kiplinger's. It also has been awarded as one of the most eco-friendly universities in the country", and was the "highest federal recognition an institution can receive" for community service. The university also inhibits the Catholic University of America Press, established in 1939. The university has more than 90,000 alumni, many of which are members of the United States House of Representatives and Senate, ambassadors, actors, CEOs, and whatnot.

Student Diversity & Visiting Companies    

The Student-faculty ratio at the university is 7:1. The global student population at the university 538, which accounts for 8.5% of the student boy representing more than 46 foreign countries. Companies like MSN, Fortune, Yahoo, Forbes headquartered in and around Washington D.C. makes employment and internships more viable for the students in the university.
