The University of Baltimore is a public university that is a part of the University System of Maryland founded in 1925 by Baltimore business professionals. The university is accredited by the Middle States Commission in Higher Education. In the beginning, it was a four-story row house in Saint Paul Street. There was a lower division initiative taken in 2005 to expand the university’s facilities and position worldwide. Thereafter, the number of programs increased, the building was renovated, and new departments constructed. The university has attained 129th position in Regional Universities North, 22nd position in Top performers on Social Mobility, and 260th position in Business programs by the US News 2020 edition.

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

Located in Baltimore, Maryland the university is spread across 47 acres with various centers and clubs like the academic center, John and Frances Angelos Law Center, H. Mebane Turner Learning Commons, Robert L. Bogomolny Library, Liberal Arts and Policy Building, Student Center, Charles Royal Building, and William H. Thumel Sr. Business Center. Besides, the university offers programs of law, business, applied science, applied arts, and public affairs. For international students, the university provides affordable tuition fees, VISA and immigration services. 

Accomplishments & Alumni 

The university assists close to 80% of students financially. Also, in the past 67% of the students received internships while pursuing their undergraduate degree, and approximately 90% of the students received employment right after the completion of their program.

The notable alumni are Michelle Richardson- editor with ABC7-WJLA in Washington DC, Steven Banks- co-founder and owner of Doner Bros, Randi Pupkin- founder and executive director of Art with a Heart and many more. 

Student Diversity & Visiting Companies

The University of Baltimore has designed “brave spaces” where students from different backgrounds and cultures can respectfully put their viewpoints. Having a very diverse student profile, the university has nearly 5% asian students and almost 58% of the students are women making it a very safe institution for students to pursue their aspirations. Besides, students graduating from the University work with companies like Ernst and Young, Well Fargo, McKinsey, Deloitte, Microsoft and so on.
