This public university located in Wilmington, North Carolina started in 1947. The university was accredited by the North Carolina College Conference in 1948 and from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools in 1952. In 1963 the university became a four years liberal arts college. The university ranked at 185 among National Universities, 138 among Best Colleges for Veterans, and 183 among Best Value Schools by the US News & World Report 2020 edition.

The University of North Carolina Wilmington has a campus is 661 acres. The university has seven colleges by the name of the College of Arts and Sciences, Cameron School of Business, the College of Health and Human Services, Watson College of Education, Graduate School, Honors College, and University College. Furthermore, the university has 55 undergraduate and 35 masters, and 4 Doctoral courses. The famous courses in the university are Business Administration and Management, Psychology, Biology, Biological Sciences, Speech Communication, and Rhetoric.  

Accomplishments & Alumni 

The university is known for baseball and basketball, the Marine Biology, Education, and Nursing schools. There is an alumni association which conducts ample of offline and online events for students. There is a list of notable alumni such as Devontae Cacok is a basketball player, Lavonne Adams is a poet and author, Claudia Bassols is an actress, Mark Byington is a basketball coach, and Matt Fish is a professional basketball player to name a few.
