The University of Wisconsin,Stout, also known as UW Stout, is a public university located in Menomonie, Wisconsin. UW Stout was founded in 1891 as the Stout Manual Training Schools by James Huff Stout. In 2007, the university received its designation of Wisconsin’s Polytechnic University. UW Stout offers career-focused undergraduate and graduate programs that combine applied learning with a liberal arts education as a polytechnic institution. University of Wisconsin - Stout is ranked No 71 in Best Regional Universities Midwest 2021 under US News and World Report’s World University Ranking lists. The lists also named the University of Wisconsin Stout as one of the top 15 Public Schools, Top 65 Best Value Schools as well as offering one of the top Engineering programmes in the country. 

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

The UW-Stout campus is located in the scenic environment of Menomonie, Wisconsin. The campus has a rich historical background dating back to 1891. Resident’s facilities are available on campus and most international students prefer staying on campus. UW Stout’s mission of offering students a learning and student experience that will remain lifelong, the university offers a variety of recreational and state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructure. Presently, UW-Stout offers more than 45 undergraduate and 20 graduate programs in various fields of studies like Art, Design & Graphics, Business & Management, Education, Human & Social Sciences, Information Technology & Communications, and Science, Engineering & Mathematics. Among the courses offered at the University of Wisconsin Stout include certificate programmes, continuing education, online and distance education opportunities along with the option of studying abroad.

UW Stout is a well-established polytechnic university that offers a range of comprehensive and career-focused courses to students from around the world. UW Stout is the first-ever higher education recipient of the Malcolm Baldrige Award in 2001, awarded to institutions with impeccable and high quality management. An impact study in 2016 revealed that the University of Wisconsin Stout was successfully contributing $271.8 million each year to the regional economy. Moreover, UW Stout has also recorded a 15% average annual rate of return to a university degree, speaking volumes of the quality of education provided by the institution.
