West Bengal Board 2024 Overview

The West Bengal Board is divided into two major departments: the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE), that's in charge of the exams for the 10th grade, and the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE), which is in charge of the exams for the 12th grade. WBBSE was renamed in 1964 after being founded in 1951 as the Board of Secondary Education. It organizes the Madhyamik schedule, exams, textbooks, and syllabus for approximately 11,000 junior high and high schools. The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education Act of 1975 established the WBCHSE, making it responsible for creating exam rules, curriculum and selecting textbooks for 10+2 education. West Bengal Board Registration Form 2024

To appear for the West Bengal Board 2024 examination, students need to fill up the registration form. WBBSE Madhyamik Board and WBCHSE HS Board release the registration forms to create registration Ids for the enrolled students. The registration process is completed under the careful supervision of school teachers. The form is made available in July and August at the camp offices, which must be filled in block letters. Students are required to fill in the correct spelling of their name, father’s name, gender, subject, religion, caste, signature, and a few passport-sized photographs. Upon successful completion of the registration process, students are given a registration card, which contains the registration number. In case of any spelling or informational error in the registration card, it must be immediately brought to the notice of the school principal or the error will be reflected in the admit card and mark sheet. The step-by-step registration process is given below :

• Step 1: The principals or school representatives visit the Madhyamik Board/ Uccha Madhyamik Board camp offices.
• Step 2: Students fill it up carefully under adult supervision.
• Step 3: Students have to attach their black and white photos.
• Step 4: Pay the registration fees.
• Step 5: Submit it to the respective school.
• Step 6: The school will in turn submit it to the respective camp office along with the fees. 

West Bengal Board Admit Card 2024

West Bengal's 10th and 12th Admit Card 2024 will be released in February 2024. The WBBSE Board admit card and WBCHSE Board admit card are provided two to three weeks before the examinations via the school. The admit cards include all important information related to students and the roll numbers. It contains details related to the exam with the photograph and signature of the candidate. The West Bengal Board admit cards include the candidate's name, exam dates, subjects with subject codes, roll number, registration number, school code, and center code. After getting the admit card, they must check if all the information given is correct. In case of discrepancies, the school authority must be immediately informed to get it rectified quickly. West Bengal 10th Result is expected to be tentatively be released in May 2024 on the official website, wbbse.wb.gov.in. The WB 12th Board Result 2024 will also be released in May 2024. The students can visit the official website of West Bengal Board to check their results once the link is activated online. The online result will also showcase the subject-wise score of the student and provide the passing status achieved by the students along with the overall grade. 

West Bengal Board Compartment Exam

West Bengal Board compartment exams can be taken by students who fail in one or two subjects during their WBBSE or WBCHSE board exams. Students must register for the compartmental exam through their respective schools without making any mistakes in the application form. The compartment exam is the Madhyamik supplementary exam and HS supplementary exams. It offers students a second chance to get their board passing certificate without repeating a year.
